Parents and Carers
Parents and carers can be confident that the proposed Academy will build on the strengths and excellent links that The Northicote School and Pendeford Business and Enterprise College have established.
The Academy will continue to focus on achieving standards of excellence in all areas of the curriculum.
Families and the local community will have access to the modern facilities and we want it to be an educational, entrepreneurial and social hub for all to use and enjoy.
We want parents and carers to be involved in the education of their children. The Academy will ensure they are kept informed about the progress of their child with regular opportunities to understand what is being taught and the expectations around homework.
There will be strong links with local primary schools to ensure that the move to secondary school is a smooth, enjoyable and positive experience.
The Academy will promote exemplary standards of behaviour and attendance and will expect parents and carers to cooperate with a set of school rules so that we can ensure a harmonious, positive and safe learning environment for everyone.
Direct links with the City of Wolverhampton College and The University of Wolverhampton will offer excellent opportunities to collaborate with local further and higher education institutions.
Logo Competition
Getting the students engaged in the Academy is a key priority. As part of the consultation, there will be a competition for existing pupils at Northicote and Pendeford to develop designs for the Academy’s logo and uniform. The winner will be given the opportunity to work with the designer to take forward their work. This competition is now closed.
